Best of All the Things 2022
Listen to Best of All the Things 2022 on: Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher and Google Podcasts
Here we are. The last podcast episode of the year! It blows my mind that we’re wrapping up another year. I think people feel a mixed bag of emotions about the end of the year. I want us to embrace the perspective of gratitude; gratitude that you’ve come this far, that you’ve overcome 100% of your hardest days, that you’ve grown so much over the past year, and that you have the gift of another year. As we wrap up this year, I wanted to do an episode that reflects on the best of all the things in 2022.
In this episode about best of all the things 2022, we’ll cover:
Best Books I Read:
The Gap and the Gain: The High Achievers' Guide to Happiness, Confidence, and Success by Dr. Benjamin Hardy & Dan Sullivan
Soundtracks: The Surprising Solution to Overthinking by Jon Acuff
You’re Already Awesome How to Silence Your Inner Critic and Step into Greatness by Alison Faulkner
Best Podcasts:
We Can Do Hard Things with Glennon Doyle, Abby, and Sister
Gather in Growth with Emily Reuschel
Discover Ag with Tara Vander Dussen and Natalie Kovarik
Core Memories:
My mom’s 60th birthday celebration
I went surfing for the first time
I lost my grandpa.
Goals I didn’t meet:
Financial goals: did not double my revenue, stayed about the same and I’m a-okay with that
I did NOT run a marathon, far from it. Stopped running all together.
Did not travel internationally, but I have some exciting things coming down the pike.
Goals I met:
Van life! Kinda. We launched backroad cowgirls
I hosted my first women’s retreat.
I started my retirement fund
Things I’m saying no to:
Hosting another retreat
Restarting my monthly membership
Chasing social media likes as a sign of my worth and success
Things I’m saying yes to:
Starting my book.
Filming an official pilot episode for Backroad Cowgirls.
Reading more fiction non self-help books
Guideposts for 2023 (we’ll be diving into this more):
Honor your energy.
This looks different for everyone.
Lions sleep up to 21 hours per day and they are one of the fiercest animals in the animal kingdom.
Romanticize your life.
Not just the big things, but the small seemingly mundane things.
Money is abundant, time is not.
Experiences over things.
Follow your joy.
